Regional training course on ocean acidification experimental set up: From the scratch to results approach

Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute (KMFRI) jointly with Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association (WIOMSA) and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is organizing the above referenced training course at KMFRI Mombasa Laboratory from 21-25 October 2019.

The purpose of the training is to strengthen the regional capacity on ocean acidification biological experimentation through from scratch to results approach following best-practices. The training course will consist of theoretical lectures and practical sessions and demonstrations on how to set up ocean acidification experiments including experimental design, choice of and measurement of end points and manipulation of organisms.

The training course will be attended by 24 participants from 14 Countries (Côte D'ivoire, Congo, Egypt, Gabon, Ghana, Mauritius, Namibia, Nigeria, Sudan, Tanzania, Mozambique, Mauritius, Seychelles and Kenya). Prof Sam Dupont of University of Gothenburg, Sweden will facilitate the training
