Amina is an early marine scientist with experience on Marine Geology. Her key interests are on the Geology of the oceans and more specifically, marine geomorphology, marine sediments, mineral wealth of the oceans, oil and gas exploration, marine paleoclimate and paleoenvironment studies and application of data management and analysis tools on marine data.
She is involved in the mapping of Kenya’s EEZ through measurement of bathymetry and establishment of unique geomorphological structures and carrying out research on the sediment dynamics along the Kenyan Coast.
She is currently undergoing an International Marine Geology course training by International Seabed Authority, focusing on the exploration of marine geological and mineral resources.
