2000-Onwards- Kenya’s representative to Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of UNESCO.

2002-He was a Project Manager (C ORDIO Project): Coral Reef Degradation in Indian  Ocean.

1996-1999 - National Co-coordinator/Project Manager (EEC-Research& Technology for Development Programme)

He acted as Co-Manager in Inner Shelf Programme: Kenyan Coastal Ecosystems and their Interrelations - Dutch funded programme-involving scientists from Kenya, Netherlands and Belgium.

1993-1995- National Co-coordinator/Project Manager in EEC – Science & Technology for Development Programme: Interlinkages in Eastern   Africa Coastal Ecosystems in .

192-1993 Co-ordinator of IOC/SAREC sponsored course on Nutrients Dynamic in Marine ecosystem.

 

 


PROFESSIONAL BODIES: He was aboard member of the Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association and currently a member.
