Prof. Peninah Aloo-Obudho Appointed to Head KMFRI Board
obudho pamelahThe Minister for Fisheries Development, Hon. Dr. Amerson Jefwa Kingi has re-appointed Prof. Peninah Aloo-Obudho to be the Chairperson of the Board of Management of the Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute (KMFRI) for a period of three more years. The Minister announced the appointment in Kenya Gazette CXIII – No. 59 of July 1, 2011.

The Minister also appointed the following six members of the Board for the next three years: Prof. James H. P. Kahindi, Prof. Evans Aoso, Dr. Mary Ciambaka Mwiandi, Dr. Ahmed Yassin, Mr. Bernard Mubinja Wamalwa and Dr. John Mmari Onyari.
We wish Peninah and the new Board of Management all the best as they embark on guiding KMFRI to greater heights.(By Melckzedeck K. Osore

KMFRI launches a new research vessel
